WiNtEr BrEaK!

Well, as I have mentioned in previous posts I work for Columbus Secure Shredding, and as a benefit there I get to have the same days off that Salt Lake School District does because I also work for them. So, I only had to work Monday and Tuesday last week and I do have to work tomorrow but then I have the rest of the week off. I am very lucky that Luke also has a flexible job so since he's out of school until the 10th am I able to spend a lot of time with him! So, we haven't done anything way fun so far because of the weather and we both have colds, but we did have a very good Christmas and we feel very blessed to have the families that we do. We did see the movie Tron and I loved it! And we have been watching the final season of 24 finally! But, hopefully this week will be exciting and it will end with a great New Year at the Jensens. I hope you will all hang in there and hopefully i'll get better at this blogging stuff. And I'll talk to you soon!

WOW! :D

Well, it has been way too long since I have done any updating! I'm hoping to become a lot better at updating and also taking pictures as soon as our camera is fixed. Until then I'll just update you on what we've been up to!

Luke-Well Luke has been working like crazy to try and get back to school. He took a break to try and work on our debt so it won't be so stressful while he's going to school, unfortunately now school loans have kicked in so it's making it even more! So, hopefully he is going to go back to school in the fall. He changes his mind on what he wants to do a lot and I'm not even sure if he knows right now what he wants to do....other than he doesn't want to be a merchandiser forever. He is the most loving and kind husband and has the patience that you need to be married to me! I love what he has done for us in the years that we've been married and I can't believe that it's going to be four years this October! Time has sure flown by, crazy eh?

Me- Well, right now i'm working part time as an office manager at Columbus Secure Shredding and also working at Applebees at night and on the weekends. I love my job at Columbus and I feel very blessed that I was able to find it and actually get it! You can look up there website if you want but basically it's a shredding company, but the employees all have special needs. It is so amazing to be able to be around the clients that we have and I love their positive attitudes! I walk by a sorting table that some of them sit at a lot throughout the day coming and going from my office and every time I go by I get at least 2 or 3 hello's from them. As far as Applebees goes I'm just trying to get as much extra money to go towards debt as possible. But, right now my wish is to go back to school into business administration and hopefully be able to go full time at my job. I'm still working really hard on getting to my healthy goal weight, it's been really hard but it helps to have a great support system from my friends and family. I have been going to the gym a lot more which helps and now i'm hoping to just add healthy eating into the mix and really get going!

The two of us- As far as our plans together go....well it's completely open. Luke was offered a position in a different state and we seriously considered it, but after a lot of thought and prayer he decided to turn it down and work on getting back to school. As far as being parents, right now we have our two babies that keep us plenty busy and entertained. I am very excited for when we do have kids though because Luke is going to be an AMAZING dad. I watch him with my nieces and nephews and they just adore him and he loves them just as much! Before we even think about having kids however we want to be more financially stable, I want to be healthier and Luke wants to get some more schooling behind him. I feel like we haven't matured quite enough to have a little one yet. However, me and Luke have been through a lot together and I really feel like we can get through anything together!

The summer- As far as our plans for this summer? WORK! This is part of Luke's busiest time of the year and it requires a lot of long hours, and I want to work as much as possible to get us both back to work. I'm hoping that we can make a couple of little trips out of town that are cheap and fun, and if we do i'll make sure to update you with some pictures! :D

I'm feeling a change coming on!

Hello my fellow bloggers! So, I am sorry that it has been so long since I've written and I don't even know where I should start. We have another kitty in our family named Newman. He's an awesome addition to our family and I'm so happy that we were able to adopt him. But what really urged me to put up a new post is my current goals! I know it's a little late for new years resolutions, but better late than never, eh? First and very foremost is my weight loss goals! I have been all over the scale ever since I got married and even before then. I was looking at some pictures and I realized that at one point I actually shed around 35 pounds! And yet I still thought I was too fat so I think that made me give up and go to food and put it right back on plus more. So, starting Tuesday it's going to be hardcore boot camp, and I figured maybe if I posted this it would make me stick to it more. If it's a success or a fail I'll share my stories here and hopefully motivate others or teach others by my mistakes. I have found that the most successful way that I have lost weight is through weight watchers so that's what I'm going to do thus the reason I am starting Tuesday because that is my weigh in day. Further, another one of my goals that goes hand in hand with losing weight is to not eat out as much. It is so hard not to go out to eat especially when I work at a restaurant! And that gives me crazy hours and it's not always easy to make food especially when me and Luke are both really picky. so if you have any ideas of some easy meals to cook quickly or meals that are easy to cook all at once and freeze so I have meals for the rest of the week. So, there ya go! Wish me luck and I'd appreciate any ideas or support, you can also email me if you'd like :)
